Terms of Service

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. When you register:

• You must maintain and promptly update your account information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You may not use another person's account without permission. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove or edit content at our sole discretion.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
• Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the Service
• Transmit any viruses, worms, defects, or any items of a destructive nature
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
• Use any robot, spider, or other automatic device to access the Service
• Impersonate or attempt to impersonate OpenTasks, our employees, or other users
• Upload or transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, or offensive
• Use the Service to spam, phish, or distribute malware

OpenTasks offers both free and paid subscription plans:

• Free Plan: Limited features with usage restrictions
• Paid Plans: Additional features and higher usage limits

For paid subscriptions:

• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• You may cancel your subscription at any time
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods
• We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days notice
• Lifetime purchases are one-time payments with permanent access

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of OpenTasks and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You retain all rights to the content you create, upload, or store using the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

OpenTasks integrates with Cursor AI for automated task processing:

• You may connect your own Cursor API key to use AI features
• AI-generated content may not always be accurate or complete
• You are responsible for reviewing and validating all AI-generated work
• Usage of AI features is subject to Cursor's terms of service
• We are not liable for issues arising from third-party AI services

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OpenTasks disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

In no event shall OpenTasks be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use or inability to use the Service.
